About the Item
Travertine coffee table by Don Knorr for Vista of California, c.1950s. This table showcases a rectangular travertine slab table top set in a black tubular steel frame.
Don Knorr attended Cranbrook after obtaining an architecture degree and went on to work for Eero Saarinen and won a design competition at MoMA in 1948 for a chair design that Knoll began producing in 1950, as well as designing furniture for Vista Furniture of Anaheim, CA in the 1950s and 60s.
