About the Item
Coffee table from the Art Deco period in France. This set has a central rectangular shaped table with two smaller demilune shaped tables. The three can be used separately, or placed together to act as a coffee table. The side tables have black glass tops. The central table has an eglomized mirrored top. All three have a black metal base with gold leafed feet. These tables are in excellent vintage condition – the photos accurately depict the condition.
The dimensions listed are for the set when placed together. The dimensions for the tables when separated are below.

Ultimately, the Art Deco style is a pastiche of many styles, all coming together in a desire for modernism. Spanning from the beginning of World War I to the beginning of World War II, the style affected design, both commercial and independent, on a massive scale and continues to be seen in fashion, jewelry, and furniture today. There were many influences, from the geometric forms of Cubism, bright colors of Fauvism, the craftsmanship of Louis XVI, and the exotic influences of Asian and Egyptian art.
