About the Item

Elegant, sober, minimalist coffee table by Maria Pergay. This piece in matte polished stainless steel covering a black wood frame and is known as Table Droite. The piece was made for Maison et Jardin, Paris, 1971. Maria Pergay was one of the leading lights of French Modern Design of the Mid-Century (1960-1970) period. She was one of the first to work with stainless steel in a simple, elegant, Minimalist manner transforming it from Industrial material into glamorous statements of striking originality.
