About the Item
Oak and ceramic coffee table Top made of tiles signed Barrois.
Made between 1960 and 1970.
The tiles were made in Vallauris a village of the South of France. This place brought together numerous artists and ceramists from the 1950s to the 1980s. Among the most famous were Picasso and Capron.
Barrois created a number of works using these herbarium-style ceramics.
Herbarium ceramics were also used extensively by Roger Capron. This type of work remains highly prized today.
