Giuseppe Rivadossi Coffee Table with Storage Compartments in Oak

About the Item

Giuseppe Rivadossi, coffee table, oak, glass, Italy, 1970s. An exceptional coffee table by the Italian sculptor and designer Giuseppe Rivadossi, featuring a high level of craftsmanship in woodwork. Remarkable about this piece is the diversity of storage facilities, such as drawers, a compartment, and shelves. The concealed casters allow easy movement. Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's path begins with wood carving, with works reflecting on his poetic idea of living. In 1962 Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather a creative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976 where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture. Please note that the top shows scratches and some discoloration. Restoration is possible before shipping by our experienced craftsman and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized restoration is possible as well.
