Hollywood Regency Chrome Square Glass Top Coffee Table after Milo Baughman
About the Item
Handsome Hollywood Regency chrome square coffee table with glass insert top. This table has overtones of Milo Baughman mixed with Chinese Chippendale style lattice design. It is in wonderful vintage condition overall. The chrome has been polished but still retains a beautiful age patina. And, we have replaced the glass. Please see photos, circa 1970s.
I’d say this coffee table is the epitome of Hollywood Regency! Shiny, a little glass, and the awesome juxtaposition of classic Chinese Chippendale! This table has sometimes been attributed to Milo Baughman for DIA but that, according to our experts, is not true. And, it has been said recently, if its chrome it must be Milo. That is also not true. What is true is this table has incredibly beautiful lines and high-quality construction which is in the style of Milo Baughman. And it’s chrome. The reality is, we haven’t been able to definitively discover the maker of this lovely table but who cares when it looks as marvellous as this one does. It is a large square table comprised of a chrome rectangular tube frame with a Chinese Chippendale styled lattice top design. The Chippendale design provides the support for the recessed glass top. Simple and simply amazing. This fabulous table will add just the spark to brighten up a ho-hum living room and even become its focal point. All you need do is make it yours!
