About the Item

A stunning and extremely decorative Italian 19th century Florentine st. wrought iron, gilt metal and Pietra Dura marble cocktail table. The circular table is raised by a striking wrought iron base with beautiful scrolled designs and exceptional acanthus leaf and berried branch gilt metal accents. The original marble top displays exquisite masterfully inlaid flowers at the center with colorful blooming flowers and charming finely detailed butterflies and dragonflies. Additional butterflies and blooming flowers are inlaid throughout in a remarkable array of marbles and semi precious stones including white Carrara, Malachite, Lapis Lazuli, onyx, and Sienna to name but a few set in black Belgian marble.
