Italian 19th Century Marble, Wrought Iron and Ormolu Coffee Table

About the Item

A most impressive Italian 19th century marble, wrought iron and ormolu coffee table. The marble plateau is raised by a stepped black marble base below four most decorative scrolled wrought iron supports. At the center is a handsome scrolled carved white Carrara marble capital shaped reserve. The stunning plateau displays a veneered Vert de Corse marble framed within a Quarzite de Carelie border with a richly chased, high quality ormolu band with detailed foliate movements. All original gilt throughout. This beautiful plateau could be raised to dining table height.
