About the Item
Vintage chromed metal and smoked glass telescopic adjustable table, made in Italy in the 1970s, Space Age period/style.
Labelled by famous furniture manufacturer Allegri, based in Parma, in Northern Italy, this table was originally intended as a TV stand - in an era where televisions were heavy and chunky. Nowadays, you certainly don't need such thing as a television stand, so this beautiful piece can serve either as a low cocktail/coffee table or as a small dining table in a kitchen: despite its compact size, it can comfortably accomodate two people.
A screw on the leg allows to set its height, ranging from about 40 to about 80 centimeters; four wheels, concealed in the globes at the base, make it easy to carry around.
It is preserved in very good original conditions, and the only sign to highlight is a light chipping in the glass, visible in the last picture and basically invisible when looking at the table in full.
