About the Item

This coffee table was made in an old Japanese mortar. It is made of zelkova wood and is thought to have been hand-carved using tools. The appearance, created by hand rather than by machine, gives a unique beauty rather than uniformity. It changes to a slightly natural gray color over time, giving it a primitive appearance that expresses the beauty of natural changes. It can also be used as a coffee table, exhibition stand, or stool. The simple shape adds a natural primitive beauty to the space and creates a calm, beautiful silhouette. *The metal fittings on the top and bottom make it a little wobbly. Please use it by placing a thin piece of wood between the two to adjust the wobble. Weight: 37kg
