Japanese Mahogany Hand Carved Coffee or Opium Table with Silver Inlay
About the Item
An elegant rectangular coffee table or opium table made in solid mahogany with beautiful grain.
The table has a rectangular paneled top with delicate inlaid silver wire figures. In the center, it shows two phoenixes in the clouds flanked by clouds in the far corners in the central panel. The top is supported by hand carved cabriole legs and stretchers. Each leg depicts a dragon's head ending in a claw with a ball. The stretchers are enriched with dragons chasing the ball of wisdom. The table has a warm brown color with a beautiful gloss. The table is solid, complete, and ready for use.
