About the Item

Large, elegant, timeless French Mid-Century Modern cocktail / coffee table in authentic goat skin parchment in the style of Jean Michel Frank. This classic yet dramatic piece is shaped in an inverted u, an exquisite waterfall form and finished in goat parchment cut in large squares. Jean-Michel Frank was France's leading designer of the 1930 period and was noted for his pure, sober forms combined with unusual materials. Pieces in parchment by Frank were a staple of his aesthetic. The American, Karl Springer frequently used parchment in creating similar forms during the 1960's. 2 similar style tables are available. The table shown in the photos is H 18 x L 39.5 x W 27.5. The second smaller table is H 16 x L 35.75 x W 27.5. Each is priced and sold individually.
