Long Danish Rosewood Bench
About the Item
Denmark, ca. 1960. A long Krobo style bench or coffee table most likely by Norwegian designer Torbjørn Afdal. Features rosewood construction with a generous rectangular top finished with subtle lip detail. Enameled black metal leg brackets add architectural interest to H-shaped legs. Cleverly concealed iron support to underside ensures strength. Finely made with dramatic graining, this piece would be perfect in a hallway, as a window seat, at the foot of a bed, or even as impressive cocktail table. Professionally refinished, the condition is excellent.
