About the Item
This unique table is a creation of the Spanish designer Joaquín Moll. It is a coffee table with a simple metal base structure, with four thin legs in painted gray. The table top is finished with a recessed pilaster edge with a marble top in marquetry with different marbles. The marbles on the surface are a Portuguese gray marble with white veining, a red marble from the east coast of Spain. And finally a darker cherry gray marble.
The surface has a linear drawing with the gray marbles that culminates in a square in red, a symmetrical drawing of geometric shapes.
The piece is unique and has only been manufactured individually, making it a unique piece of contemporary marble furniture.
A marble marquetry coffee table made in Meddel's workshop in Spain. Being a unique piece, it is a luxury piece of furniture of individual character that expresses the maximum of detail and the know-how of the Spanish artist Joaquín Moll.
The play of marbles in the marquetry on the surface is an evident play of contrasts of color and shapes, with very fine lines of dark gray marble in contrast with the same color in lighter shades with the Portuguese gray marble, and finally a box of Alicante red marble that causes the contrast and denotes the Spanish passion in front of the gray environment in different shades.
