Every object has his own persona and is entirely made by hand using similar techniques used in metal casting. We have literally endless color combinations, and each color accentuates the different personalities of the objects. Ultra limited edition of 12 + 4 ap. Shipping worldwide: all our artworks are insured and packed in a custom-made wooden box. Dimensions may vary 1 – 2 cm. Few words from the artist: “I left on the surface of the object the imprints of my own fingers, of my hands, as well as the strikes and marks left by the actual tools used to shape the work. Later on, i took molds of my hands, fingers and of the tools that were actually used in the making of this unique piece, and duplicated them in cold cast bronze to complete the artistic statement.” For this set of works, the synthetic materials were chosen rationally in order to explain both the physical and conceptual materiality of the theme. Though, exactly the opposite for our case, the common perception of any synthetic material is usually disposable, mass-produces and low-grad. This gives birth to a discussion about the ethical value of synthetic materials and man’s ability to perceive it culturally. The story of the transformation of matter into an object, about the transformation of the object into a good, about the monetization of the good. Plastic concept: From the oldest of times, our species has experienced a strong symbiosis with matter. Humans have learned to model matter, turned it into tools, and then used it to create objects. The man of the 21st century has shaped the Anthropocene era to his liking; and plasticized it to his own mirror. The project called materiality, is centered around the last geological era, popularly known as the plastic age. An era in which human impact is the dominant force on the earth’s natural materials.

  • Caverna Contemporary Sculpture, by Eduard Locota resin Acrylic Glass & Marble
    By Eduard Locota
    Located in Timisoara, RO
The sculptural group “Abstract Isometry” has been gravitating around the theme of fragmentation, slicing of the Earth and plasticity. In the contemporary context, channeled almost exclusively on our natural resources, once abundant natural resources such as fossil fuel, water and even clean oxygen, become rare commodities. In the current context focused on excessive and unsustainable consumerism, the 21st century welcomes us with a Darwinian transformation for both men and nature. Evolution which leads to the development of a synthetic man living in a synthetic nature. Heavy topics as regeneration and sustainable environment are thrown into the arms of the future generations, that have not been born yet. Thus, the artist’s creations highlight the synthesis through alternative materials used, such as: synthetic marble (resin and marble dust), synthetic resin (Plexiglass), synthetic cement (Jesmonite), charcoal, wood, and so on. His works have a powerful conceptual plasticity but also physical plasticity, a concept that can be interpreted as modern works of the 21st century. Unique Because the artwork is entirely handcrafted and made to order; build process takes approximately 3-4 weeks for each artwork. Every artwork is hand-sculpted, molded and finished by hand by the artist himself. Because of this special build process, there will be small differences between every edition, thus unique, unique in the world. In addition to the artists signature on the piece of art, you will receive a “Certificate of Authenticity” signed and dated by Eduard Locota himself. Sculptural design piece, that will last for hundreds if not thousands of years. Memorable We here present you a contrasting composition with a memorable design. This extremely clean and Minimalist artwork produce the strong recognizable style of Eduard Locota that will lights up the space it will be placed in, as well as lift the eyebrows of the audience. Ultra limited edition of 19 pieces + 2AP. Acrylic glass and cultured marble...
