About the Item
This captivating two-tiered coffee table by renowned brothers Max and Dominique Picard embodies the essence of mid-century modern design. Sculpted glazed tiles in a harmonious palette of brown, beige, terracotta, and a touch of orange adorn the swiveling tops, offering a unique visual experience. The expertly brushed steel base complements the organic nature of the tiles, creating a beautiful contrast in materials.
Signed "JGP" on the lower top, this table is a testament to the Picards' artistic legacy. Their careers flourished after opening their atelier in Toulouse in 1947 and continued to blossom upon their move to Vallauris. This exceptional piece stands out for its distinctive design, offering a conversation-starting focal point in any living space.
Maintained in excellent original vintage condition, the table exhibits minor imperfections on the top near the steel border. These imperfections may be intentional design elements, adding to the table's unique character. Detailed photos are available for your reference. Dimensions: The circular tops measure 22" and 24 3/4", height is 17 1/8".
For ease of shipping, the tops will arrive unassembled, but the re-assembly process is remarkably simple.
