Mid-Century 1950s Vintage José Zanine Caldas Coffee Table

About the Item

José Zanine Caldas (1919–2001) was a Brazilian architect, designer, and craftsman celebrated for his innovative use of native materials and his commitment to sustainable design. Often referred to as the "master of wood," he skillfully combined traditional Brazilian techniques with modernist principles to create furniture and architectural works that embodied the essence of Brazilian culture. This Coffee Tbale is made with Marine Plywood. The table comprises several pieces that fit together, giving the feeling of a sculpture.
