Artistic 1950s coffee table in the style of Gio Ponti & Paolo De Poli attributed, all solid wood, with the top decorated and lacquered with "Verykote" treatment Measures cm: H 44, W 100, D 50. Paolo De Poli - Padua, 1 August 1905, 21 September 1960. ​He was a collaborator of Gio Ponti, in the creation of furniture and decorative panels (in the 1940s) and design and sculpture objects on Animal themes (in the 1950s). De Poli has been the point of contact for many architects and designers in prestigious projects, in which the presence of enamels brings new decorative horizons. In addition to a vast production of vases, bowls, trays, plates, cups, handles and plaques in enamelled copper, he also worked on large decorative panels, intended for the interiors of ships and ocean liners, hotels, universities, public buildings and collectors' houses. in Italy and abroad. Giovanni “Gio” Ponti (born November 18, 1891, Milan, Italy–died September 16, 1979, Milan, Italy) was one of the most influential Italian architects, industrial designers, furniture designers, artists, and publishers of the 20th century. He is considered the father of modern Italian design and is associated with the development of modern architecture in Italy. Throughout his long creative career, which spanned more than six decades, Gio Ponti created numerous furniture, decorative art, and industrial product designs using artisanal and modern production techniques, in addition to creating important works of architecture in Italy and abroad.
