About the Item

Very rare coffee table from the Wilkhahn Series 400 furniture program based on a design by Hartmut Lohmeyer from the 1950s. The table impresses with its elegant design language with very finely executed details. What is particularly eye-catching is the interaction between the top and the frame. The table legs made of solid wood virtually pierce the top and look flush at the top. The plate nestles separately with a joint. Another subtle detail can be seen in the profile. A slight arch within the supporting structure below the plate. The table is in very good condition with signs of wear. At one point it was repaired (see photo).
