About the Item
This is our 'Mjolnir' Coffee table. The hammer of Thor. An homage to the hammering techniques used in the manufacturing process. Made from forged steel and crafted right here in Yorkshire by Sam our incredible black smith.
The way Sam forges the steel on this piece generates a natural patina and colour that make this table extremely impressive. The design was inspired by the two tiered mid century tables we have found in Italy over the years but given the full forged treatment. The corners are riveted and again entirely hand beaten. The glass tiers are 6mm thick with polished edge.

Every detail is beaten and shaped by hand from the patina on the table to the tools used to create this table. The tools themselves were made specifically for this design making it truly unique.
Fabulous patina is given to the table through the process of manufacture. The central stem with swage detail is made from one bar and shaped by hand. The top and base plate are cut, then hammered and pressed to shape meaning you get an attractive irregularity because of the hand made nature.
