Modern Cookie Slab Coffee Table with Large Turned Legs and Wenge Butterflies
About the Item
This is an example of a custom slab coffee table commissioned and built for a designer. Each table is unique and custom, as each slab is unique, so please inquire if you have any questions or specific requests. This table features a thick cookie slab of claro walnut, inlaid with wenge butterflies and a patchwork of claro walnut. The three legs were hand turned on the lathe and mortised into the bottom of the slab.
The individual character of the slab shines through in each of these tables, and an extraordinary amount of attention and time is given to ensure the finest final product. Each piece is finished with multiple coats of hardwax oil finish, and buffed out to a soft, satin finish with a great glow.
