A timeless secret now finally revealed. ITALIAN DESIGN: Impeccable Italian precision, attention to details and meticulous care for the story of each oak stave make Narni coffee table a true artwork. Its incisive sculptured character is revealed by: • the spectacular intersection of its 3 oval legs reminds of the crossing of 3 elliptically shaped galaxies • Each leg refashions a duo of oak barrel staves artfully planed and paired by our skilled artisans • every duo then fits seamlessly with the other two without any artificial join. An ancient Italian craftsman technique to emphasize oak, its textures and elegance • The round transparent tempered-glass top nicely pairs with the dynamism of the elliptical legs and allows observers to fully appreciate the structure of the base and the unique texture of the oak. • 3 rounded supports in stainless steel connect the round tempered-glass top with the oak wood structure. Upholding its commitment to circular economy, Winetage re-fashions precious oak from used wine barrels. This means a dual sustainability benefit for you and your living: • no oak tree is cut to craft Narni coffee table • an exhausted wine barrel, its story and alchemy is spared from being burnt down and polluting environment (AGED) OAK: THE MATTER The highest oak quality: certified Uncompromising stringent specifications require the selection of just the finest of French or American oak trees to age wines: • Oak trees of at least 105 years old from certified forests endorsed by PFEC (Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification) for responsible sourcing of oak and forest management • Only the straightest and knot-less oak staves qualify for wine-aging. Absence of knots is paramount to prevent defects in the wines • Oak staves season open air for at least 2 years, under all weather conditions (sun, storm, snow) to enrich each oak stave with natural elements, while leaching undesirable chemical components and bitter flavors • In the skilled hands of artisan coopers staves become wine barrels: an ancient process that gives barrels their iconic silhouette It takes time and patience to craft the finest bespoke furniture, endorsed by Mother Nature (UNVEILED) WINE AGING STORY Everybody knows the qualities oak crafts to wines: elegance, aromas, and structure.
