Monolog XL Low Table by Glass Variations
About the Item
Monolog XL Low Table by Glass Variations
Dimensions: Ø 130 x H 35 cm.
Materials: Tempered glass.
Round top, 1,3 m in diameter, and 3 glass legs, in 19 mm thick tempered glass. UV bonding of the top and its legs by hand requires the technical excellence of a master glazier. Therein lies the secret of invisible assembly that gives the whole its purity and ensures perfect stability.
Available in two different options: Linea Azura Glass (delicate blue reflection) or extra-clear glass (the invisible version). Manufactured in France on demand. Please contact us.
By designing 100% glass models, the designers of the MONOLOG collection have made a demanding choice which finds its full aesthetic expression with the MONOLOG round table. It stands out by its refined and minimal design with three feet UV glued to the glass top in a 19mm thick glass. Its optimal dimension, 1,3m wide, and its simplicity make this low table an exclusive piece of furniture.
Designed by Exercice, MONOLOG is a sole material collection.
The expertise of our master glaziers performing UV bonding guarantees the invisible assembly and the outstanding aesthetics of this collection.
“Considered as warm in architecture, glass is often perceived as cold and not suitable for everyday use in the design world. It is, however, a material with exceptional capabilities that creates an impression of purity and finesse, of ethereal lightness. The graphic interest brought by the superposition of glass layers and transparencies led us to develop a very geometric design for this MONOLOG collection”.
Glass Variations was born within Cevino Glass, an independent French group of glass processing companies, which combines the most modern equipment with the perfect mastery of traditional glassworking techniques. In the workshop of Miroiteries Dubrulle, established near Lille in 1926 or LUKORA, near Lyon, which has been working with curved glass since 1923, our glass pieces are born from cutting and shaping entirely to measure. The UV bonding carried out by our master glassmakers makes it possible to assemble by hand and in a totally invisible way pieces of tempered, colored printed, curved, or laminated glass for an unprecedented result.

Galerie Philia
Galerie Philia is an international contemporary sculptural design and art gallery representing emerging and established designers and artists. The gallery is the brainchild of two brothers who share a lifetime passion for art, literature and philosophy. Their distinct academic background sets them apart from their peers, as it sees them following a rhizomatic and transcultural approach in the way they select works. This involves combining elements from multiple cultures in what becomes a network of harmoniously interconnected roots, ultimately revealing the beauty of each unique creation. The gallery’s non-hierarchical curation sits apart from the ephemerality of trends and focuses instead on the true aesthetic quality of the piece – alluring and timeless. Unlike others, Galerie Philia does not focus on a single style – whether minimalist, organic or raw – but rather embraces heterogeneity. The Galerie Philia takes pride in discovering new talents, providing them with multiple international platforms to showcase their latest creations. As well as propelling the newest generation of 21st century collectible design, Galerie Philia also works with internationally known design artists. Galerie Philia has a strong international presence, with galleries in Geneva, New York and Singapore. In addition to their permanent spaces, the gallery organizes temporary group exhibitions and artists residencies in first-class locations around the world.

Keeping alive the tradition of cabinet-making and adapting it to the contemporary aesthetic and functional needs in an economic field now ruled by industrial production is not an easy job. A lof of passion and great handcrafting skills are needed: it's something you can learn working in your family, just like what happened to Stephane Lebrun.
STEPHANE LEBRUN was born in Belgium in 1973. His training in cabinet-making and architecture has enabled him to build himself the furniture pieces and projects he designs. This unique approach has opened the doors of prestigious places such as the Brussels Museum of Modern Art, the Manneken-Pis and the Belgium Museum of Embroidery.
DESSIE' company's mission is putting a contemporary spin on the old tradition of cabinet-making, in order to offer pieces of furniture ready to get people excited and to satisfy aesthetic and functional values of the contemporary way of living. Dessie' was started during 1990s and now proposes a collection of pieces of furniture inviting to discover a sophisticated and elegant design, an unique style where different influences merge, and to re-create a simple and refined design atmosphere for unconventional people who are freely looking for essential and high quality pieces.
A collection, including tables, small tables, writing desks, console tables, bedside tables, chairs, bookcases, dressers, cabinets, cupboards, upholstered pieces of furniture and lamps, which was created having in mind an essential style and a careful attention to recent trends. Harmony of forms and care for high quality and rational design, attentively studying any detail, are some of key features of production by Dessie', which has been always reworking the legacy from the tradition by means of a strongly contemporary design language.
The aim is to create a forward-looking style which anyway doesn't lose the value of the past as a main feature, in order to give any setting an original charme, indifferent to passing fads. Hence here's a formal language which uninterruptedly takes care of details and precious finishes, while experimenting expressive capabilities of the best materials: precious woods, steel, leather, natural fibers, etc. Flexibility and possibility of customizing any piece in order to offer a "tailor-made" production is one of key design criteria followed by Dessie'.
Dessie' established a close cooperation with some famous international designers, like the Catalan Jaime Tresserra, who designed "Tecnica" collection. Besides its own production, Dessie' has been taking the assignment of selecting products by some Spanish companies (Andreu World, Carpyen, Dae, Indecasa, Mobles 114, Punt Mobles...
