Museum Louis XVI table / side table, Russia around 1790, gold-plated
Unique museum side table around 1790. Probably Russia / Scandinavia. Solid oak gilded and very finely carved.
Extremely detailed ornate. Four curved legs each crowned with an alabaster and a bronze ampohren. Partly marbled with malachite. Conical fluted legs that are finely carved. Rectangular mottled cover plate.
This side table is an absolute eye-catcher and museum piece. A masterpiece of furniture art from the 18th century.
