Oak wood two tone Coffee Table
About the Item
Mid-century Modern inspired Coffee Table. Made entirely of quarter sawn English Oak, with beautifully contrasting two tone top and legs. The legs have been fumed, a traditional proccess normally used in English country houses to make a repair or restoration fit in with the existing woodwork. Here it has been used to create a luxurious contrast of chocolate brown legs, delicately meeting the natural Oak oiled top.
All of my pieces are made in my small Manchester workshop using only the finest British grown timbers. There is a great deal of skill required to joint the top to the legs in this way and it brings me great joy to display this piece to you.
The dowel detail underneath the top offers extra rigidity for the piece, and a joyful extra detail.
This is really a fantastic piece that I am most proud of.
All of my pieces are made to order so custom dimensions are always possible.
