About the Item

Stunning pair of low side tables from the prestigious "Marango" series designed by Alberto Smania for Smania Studio Interni in the late 1960s. These tables embody the high craftsmanship of Italian design from that era, featuring exquisite leather-woven corner detailing, brass trim, and fine Italian cane work. Each table includes two silk-covered surfaces decorated with a wisteria motif, showcasing refined elegance and artistic sensibility. They reflect the exceptional artisanal quality that has long defined the Smania brand - a company founded in 1967 in the heart of the Veneto furniture district, renowned for producing luxury Italian furnishings. Smania combines traditional cabinet-making with a contemporary aesthetic, using only the finest materials, such as exotic woods, premium leathers, precision-finished metals, and luxurious textiles. This dedication to quality has made Smania a symbol of refined Italian design. The tables are in very good vintage condition, especially considering their age of nearly 60 years. Minor signs of wear may be present, but they do not affect the structure or functionality of the items. Please review all photographs and consider these characteristics before purchasing.
