About the Item
We are is delighted to offer for sale this pair of RRP £18,000 original Shagreen black lacquered with gold gilt metal detailing large side tables
These are a very substantial pair of tables. Shagreen for those of you who aren’t familiar is Shark or Ray skin. There are reproductions skins available however these are totally original, the way to tell apart from the feel is on the reproductions each skin is exactly the same, on the real hide each cut is slightly different
These tables came from a Chelsea mansion home, it was set up around 20 years ago by the then richest lady in England, she had the home made for visiting friends and family to stay in when on holiday in London. The home was used approximately five times during that period, as such its now been sold
The pair are in excellent condition, they have the odd mark here and there from transport
