Pepper Young Coffee Table by Philippe Starck for Disform Spain, 1978

About the Item

Pepper Young table by Philippe Starck for the Spanish company Disform. He designed this table in 1978, the particular name of this model is directly borrowed from a character in Philip K. Dick's futuristic novel "Ubik". This book was very important in the life of the designer, who was fascinated by the vision of modernity that emerged from it. The book inspired him not only in the way he named his works, but also in their structures. He later named his design studio Ubik. There is a second version of this table with a round top or with grey legs. Its structure consists of four black metal legs ending in a moulded polyurethane sphere on which a square glass top rests. In good condition, wear consistent with age and use.
