About the Item
Our Periphery series follows the outer line of our design. The maple weaves and turns, creating unique forms in the negative space. Our Periphery table bases are designed to utilize as much lumber as possible. Producing two base designs in one process. You can order these two tables as a pair. Please see our other designs or reach out to us for details. Pictured in oak with whitened maple top. Can be ordered in all white maple, all oak or all walnut.
This table like all our furniture is made by hand in our small workshop in Vancouver Canada. We place care and attention to each piece. Blending Classic joinery techniques with modern innovation.
Every purchase supports our local economy and provides living wages to North American craftspeople. As always, customizations are welcome!

MSJ Furniture Studio
A contemporary furniture design studio based in Vancouver British Columbia. Founder Michael Smith-Jones comes from a long line of builders, sculptors, and artists. Raised surrounded by his father's stone sculptures Michael draws influence and inspiration from his upbringing and his fine woodworking background to create bold assertive designs, with sensitivity to balanced form, function and beauty. Each piece is handmade in our studio. Every curve, surface, and joint is contemplated and scrutinized to produce furniture that you can enjoy for a lifetime. Our designs are carefully crafted to be comfortable in many design environments. Bringing in old ideas and new to create furniture that is reminiscent of the past while belonging in the present.
