Petrified Wood Top Coffee Table with Modern-Style Metal Base
About the Item
A petrified wood top modernly designed coffee table (could also function as a bench). This custom coffee table has been fashioned from a gorgeous single thick slab of smoothly polished petrified wood, with an overall rectangular-shape, approximately 3.75 feet in length. This petrified wood top, in soothing grey tones, is raised and supported by a custom silver/bronze toned iron base consisting of four straight and squared legs, each braced with a cross stretcher at ground level between them. Petrified wood is a fossil, which over time, becomes so sturdy and dense that it is as heavy as marble, making it both an aesthetically pleasing and durable option for furniture. This piece is quite heavy, the top alone weighing approximately 123 kgs (roughly 271 pounds). Please note that as a table, the top rests on the base, therefore if used as bench it would be recommended that the top be secured to base. This piece would function well within your home as a coffee table or bench for seating. This petrified wood table is a perfect blend of mother nature and sophistication!
