Roy Sheldon Walnut Studio Table
About the Item
USA, ca. 1950s. A stunning coffee or cocktail table by Vermont artist and furniture maker Roy Sheldon. Features wonderful live edge top with dramatic graining supported by splayed conical legs. Sheldon would source the tops for his tables from “forest trees” found on his extensive property - and would then sell them from his front yard. Unusual in its size, this piece is an excellent example from the studio craft movement - and far less than a Nakashima! Professionally refinished to reveal its original beauty, the condition is excellent. Great paper label and signature to underside.
