About the Item

Silas Seandel’s work is not merely furniture—it is sculpture, history, and craftsmanship fused into one-of-a-kind statement pieces. Born in New York City in 1937, Seandel studied both sculpture and economics at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating in 1959, he opened his studio in 1963 and soon found his path through a chance commission that captured the attention of leading interior designers. This table is without glass top What began as a wall sculpture for a Westchester country club quickly grew into a lifelong career collaborating with top architects, interior designers, and engineers. Each of Seandel's creations is handmade in his New York studio, crafted from solid brass, bronze, steel, and copper—no veneers, no paint, just pure metal artistry shaped by fire, acid, and imagination. This table is without glass top Seandel’s work includes everything from sculptural tables to public monuments like the 15-foot-tall stainless steel and bronze 9/11 memorial in Connecticut. With no two pieces alike, each work offers a timeless sense of individuality, elegance, and structural boldness. When you own a Silas Seandel, you don't just own a piece of furniture—you own a legacy in metal. This table is without glass top
