About the Item

A striking, one-of-a-kind California studio craft coffee table made by an expert craftsperson in the 1950s. This beautiful table features a thick, solid redwood burl top with a tapered edge, and three tapered legs in solid maple with wonderful circular sockets attaching the legs to the tabletop. The overall construction is incredibly sophisticated. The boomerang form is extremely versatile and allows this table to be used as a coffee table or it would also be cool as a corner table. A striking piece of 1950s California design. The table has been gently refinished and is in beautiful condition. It is extremely solid and sturdy, ready for another 70 years of use.
