Art Nouveau Blond Walnut French Coffee Table
Located in Prato, Tuscany
We kindly suggest you read the whole description, because with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects. Valuable and refined French coffee table; the upper top, made of blond walnut wood, has a soft, sinuous shape with the entire edge shaped to scale and beveled; exceptional is the graceful and harmonious design of the legs that connect with each other to support the additional top below, both the legs and the top are made of European walnut; a slender, pleasing and sophisticated whole in which a soft symmetry and aesthetic balance of great impact prevail. This small work of art was created by a true master cabinetmaker in an excellent and meticulous manner between 1920 and 1925 in an artisan workshop in the town of Pont-de-Beauvoisin, a French commune in the department of Isère, nicknamed the furniture town for its ancient tradition of woodworking. Art Nouveau ("New Art") is an artistic-philosophical movement that originated in France in the late nineteenth century and the first decades of the twentieth century and spread throughout Europe under different names in different nations: in Spain...
