Tesselated fossil stone and inlaid brass coffee table by Maitland Smith
About the Item
This beautifully handcrafted coffee table with a beveled edge and inlaid brass border was made by Maitland Smith in the Philipines in the 1980s. It is a rare and unique piece made in the neoclassical style. The table is covered in small tiles made from fossil stone. Each tile is unique and shows an intricate fossil pattern. The tiles have a natural warm beige/grey color with a deep gloss. The inlaid brass border was polished to a high gloss and adds a classic touch to the piece. The whole piece was gently cleaned and the tessellated fossil stone was polished to enhance the gloss. The coffee table is in great condition, without damage, clean, and ready to be installed in your room.
