About the Item
A wonderful oversized Italian Tray, Tole painted in a lattice and floral design by San Pedro artist Sharon (Shari) Tipich.
Shari Tipich a self-taught artist began Trompe-l'œil and Faux Finish wall painting and mural art in the 1980s and also produced a collection of hand painted furniture and accessories. A excellent example of an accomplished artists work from the inception of her career.
Tray and base are circa 1950s and the artwork is signed lower right Shari Tipich '95.
Table tray size: 48”L x 36”W x 2.5”D (weight 28 lbs.)

- Condition:Additions or alterations made to the original: A few scratches existed before the painting was done and painted over by the artist and a few were previously touched up. Repaired: A number of normal wear and tear scratches black paint areas have been retouch by our conservation team. The artwork is excellent and as the artist painted it. A few scratches existed before the painting was done and painted over by the artist. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. The wrought iron base is older and has some rust and paint losses to be expected for it's age and use. May have been used as an outdoor glass top table prior to being repurposed for the wood tray table.
