A unique side table done in fossil stone with Ammonite Lytoceras fossil top
About the Item
In this listing you will find a unique Postmodern Coffee Table with a stone top, with Ammonite Lytoceras fossil in its center. Table was manufactured by Geolinea in 1995, an Italian company specializing in use of fossil stones in their designs. The original certificate that comes with a table shows the time when the table was manufactured, as well as an expert estimate of the age and origin of Lytoceras fossil. The fossil stone is estimated to be 180 million years old, going back to the Jurassic era, coming from today's Baden-Württemberg region of Germany. Table was made in Italy in 1995.
One inch thick coarse texture slate with large Ammonite fossil . Base is quarter inch thick molded metal, which follows the lines of the Ammonite.
Good vintage condition with some signs of time and use.
