Vintage Burmese Negora Lacquer Japanese Inspired Design Waterfall Coffee Table
About the Item
A vintage Burmese red lacquered waterfall coffee table from the Mid-20th century with Negora lacquered top, Japanese inspired design and scrolling extremities. Created in Burma during the Midcentury period, this waterfall coffee table features a rectangular Negora lacquered top flowing seamlessly into the side supports of similar style, accented with delicately scrolling extremities and a red lacquer. The piece is called waterfall because of its distinctive rounded drops at the side edges resembling a flowing waterfall in a manner particularly popular during the 1930s-1940s. The eye therefore embraces the ensemble as a whole. The purity of the lines, combined with a red patina, will make this Burmese waterfall Negora lacquer coffee table a great choice to decorate any home, particularly placed in a living room or under a covered patio!
