A vintage French (1970s) rattan coffee table, in that tropical modernism style of designers Audoux & Minet, synthesizing the casual elegance of coastal style with cosmopolitan sophistication. On the wide top, the swath of expertly woven reeds glows in a honey-gold with beautiful texture. Thick stalks of rattan are used to construct the base; junctures where each leg and stretcher meet show remarkable care and patience in the way they are lashed together as both a structural and decorative feature.
