Virus A sculpture coffee table totally in satin brass from the Nature collection designed by Sergio Ragalzi. Limited edition of three pieces. Produced for Superego Editions. Numbered and signed. Biography Sergio Ragalzi was born in Turin in 1951 where he still lives and works. He made his debut on the Italian art scene in 1984 with Extemporanea, the exhibition that consecrates the reopening of the exhibition spaces of the historic Roman gallery, Fabio Sargentini's Attico, who in the years to come will dedicate numerous solo exhibitions to him. In 1985 he participated in the 1980s exhibition at the Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Bologna, the same year he was invited to the Museo de Arte in San Paolo in Brazil and some of his works were presented at the L'Italie Aujourd'hui exhibition at the National Center of Contemporary Art. of Nice, curated by Achille Bonito Oliva, Maurizio Calvesi, Antonio Del Guercio, Filiberto Menna. In 1986 he inaugurated Atomic Shadows in the Franz Paludetto gallery in Turin (with catalog and text by Rudy H. Fuchs) and took part in the traveling exhibition Frankfurt-Hanover-Vienna Aspekte der italienischen Kunst 1960-1985 curated by Renato Barilli. In 1988 again with Franz Paludetto with an important personal exhibition set up in the Neo-Baroque Villa of the Castello di Rivara (TO). In 1996 he participated in the XII Art Quadrennial at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. In 1997 he won the Chamber of Deputies Award, for the occasion one of his works will be acquired for the collection of the Chamber which in the same year dedicates a catalog and a personal exhibition to him. In 2001 his sculptures were exhibited at the Italian sculpture of the 20th century, Italy in Japan 2001-2002 exhibition in the three Japanese modern art museums of Ibaraki, Yokoama and Kagoshima. The most significant personal exhibitions of 2008 are: Aquarium at the Allegretti gallery in Turin, Aviary at the Delloro Gallery in Rome, Two black insects at the Castello di Rivara (TO) and Black Rain in Milan, at Grossetti Arte Contemporanea. In 2010 the installation Genetica 2093 was presented at the Macro in Rome and at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, also at the SuperstudioPiù in Milan, at the Lucas Carrieri Art Gallery in Berlin (on the occasion of the VI Biennial of Contemporary Art in Berlin), in via Palazzo di Città in Turin and the Rivara Castle. In 2011 he inaugurated the Sfingi exhibition at the L'Attico Gallery in Rome and the Black exhibition at the Allegretti Gallery in Turin. In 2012 he presented the exhibitions: Nature, Spazio Borgogno (Milan), Madre, Galleria Carlina (Turin) and Madre Oro at the Rolando Anselmi Gallery (Rome). In 2014 he presented Origine at the Paludetto gallery in Turin and the following year Erotic Butterflies at Studio Fornaresio (Turin). In 2017 he inaugurated Caos at Spazio Borgogno, Respiro Nero at Palazzo Brandolin Rota Accademia (Venice) and exhibited Genetica 2093 in Piazza dei Signori in Vicenza. In 2018 he participated in important group exhibitions such as Industrial Gothic, curated by Fabio Vito Lacertosa, at the spaces of the Castello di Rivara, 100% Italia-Cent'Anni di masterpieces at Palazzo Barolo (Turin), 50, Studio D'Arte Cannaviello , Milan, Industrial Anatomical Organic at the 107 Foundation (Turin) and Scorribanda at the L'Attico Gallery, Rome. Biography Superego Editions Superego editions was born in 2006, performing a constant activity of research in decorative arts by offering both contemporary and vintage works, together with its own limited editions. Superego over the years has produced e made several editions with A. Mendini, A. Branzi, M. Giacon, M. Cibic, A. Mangiarotti, U. La Pietra, A. Guerriero etc. Over the last few years, Superego has also developed its own collection designed by its own studio and signed as Studio Superego. Studio Superego takes inspiration from an instinctive passion for minerals where approaching the world of crystals means deeply understanding of the beauty and perfection of nature.
