About

“Ollain” is the latest collection from Tellurico. The first part of the series was launched in November 2020 and it was composed of three sides tables: S, M and L. In January 2021, the family grew, and a new object has been added to the collection. The XL Coffee Table. The object is part of a larger research that Tellurico Design Studio is developing for a few years; which is, on how to apply classic crafts in contemporary design. In particular, the XL Coffee Table was created by re-proposing the ancient technique of Stucco, where levels on levels of S.C.M. (Special Composite Material) are applied on a primary volume, to create a solid and functional object. The ”XL” coffee table is realised by Tellurico through the re-interpretation of the Italian Crafts called ”stucco”. During the process, the inner structure of EPS which composes it is carved by hand, and then a mixture of binder and processing waste has been added to it, creating an organic and unique texture. The coffee table is a luxury fully functional sculpture, with a contemporary design aesthetic ideal for a modern design house.

Tellurico, a multidisciplinary design studio specialising in objects, spaces and installations design, was founded in 2017 by Francesco Pace. Tellurico's practice is mainly focused on pushing forward the boundary between art and design, using the combination of contemporary aesthetic with traditional craftsmanship. All the products presented on 1stDibs are limited edition or one-off and they are the result of cutting edge experimentation blended with high-end materials. In 2020 Tellurico has been listed among the Best Italian Designers Under40 and in 2021 Tellurico won one of the prizes of the prestigious Officine Saffi Award with his project Telluride.
