Antique French Art Deco Carved Wood & Marble Console Table & Wall Mirror Set
About the Item
This antique console table and mirror set is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from France and date to approximately 1920 and done in the period Art Deco style. The table and mirror frame are composed of softwood with hand carved garlands of foliage and flowers with beaded accents with an ebonized painted finish. The half moon table has two serpentine legs with a cream marble top with black striations. The top of the mirror has a hand carved panel of flowers hanging on a stylized trellace. The dimensions posted below refer to the mirror. The table itself measures eight and a half inches deep, twenty one and three quarter inches wide and stand twenty one a half inches in height. The overall height can vary depending on how much space is put between them, or they can be used separately in adjoining areas.

- Condition:Replacements made: The mirror and backing are presumed to have been replaced at some time. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. There are two holes on either side of the lower frame area and some wear to the overall painted finish as presented in the photos, and consistent with age and use. One of the legs of the table also has a slight bow.
