CONTINENTAL WROUGHT-IRON MARBLE TOP ARCHITECTURAL CONSOLE TABLE
Fashioned from an old window balcony late 19th/early 20th century with later marble top
Item # 403MWF18J
A very fun window balcony with wonderful scrolling iron-work that has been given new life as a console table, it just happens to present with the perfect dimensions to allow this to be possible. Retaining remnants of its original paint, the surface is chaotic with the chipping white paint revealing reddish colors and the deep rust of the iron. It supports a rouge marble top with a high-polish - note the curve of the "handrail" raising the marble top. A lovely statement piece.
Measurements: 32 3/4" H x 14 3/4" D x 40 7/8" W
Condition Report:
Extremely worn paint, chipping throughout; chemical makeup of the paint is unknown and is possibly lead paint - this could obviously be sand-blasted and refinished if that is a concern; later marble top, likely late 20th century; incredibly sturdy; ready to place.
