Antique Swedish ‘Slagbord’ in Full Original Condition, Untouched
About the Item
Beautiful Swedish ‘slagbord’, or drop leaf table, with paint and patina of more than 100 years old. It’s still in full original condition, i.e. untouched, and beautifully aged.
This ‘sagbord’ was made around the end of the 19th century and painted in the typical ‘faluröd’, a red paint made with residual products from copper mines.
I think this beautiful piece of farmhouse furniture can be used perfectly as a small writing table, or as a decorative sideboard against the wall or sofa. Even a small dinner is possible when respecting the age of the table.
