Art Deco Machine Age Console Table by KEM Weber for Lloyd Furniture c. 1930's

About the Item

Exceptional Art Deco, Machine Age console table designed by KEM Weber for Lloyd Furniture Company circa 1930's. The table features a stylized tubular chrome base, which supports the painted wood top. Originally designed as a console table, this piece can also function as a small writing desk, or computer table. This example is in very good, clean, original, ready to use condition, showing some minor blemishes , specific condition report as follows. Apparently, the top had been upholstered at some point ( post production ) leaving evidence of staples on the underside of the wood top, and eight very small holes on the top surface - these holes were probably made to anchor the decking. The holes are very small, and not noticeable unless you are looking for them, please see images. Tubular chrome furniture from the 1930's is most often found in the form of chairs, or occasionally as small tables or desks, console tables are very rare and not often seen on the market.
