About the Item

A local jewelry designer and wood collector has a beautiful slab of 10-cm-thick solid teak and wanted to turn it into a beautiful table. A little bird told him to come to P. Tendercool and thus began the journey of this table. We worked alongside him to find the perfect shade of wood finish for his table. We did a few test run on an off-cut and showed it to him. He decided to bleach and finish the wood in Diamond Oil. The result was a warm sand dune shade that beautifully complements our Golden Sand bases. When he saw the table, he was impressed to say the least. Making table is our specialty after all – our motto: “We make tables and we make them well”. Available to your order Price does not include table top, only brass bases. Should you wish to order a similar table, we can source the wood for you. We outsource the casting of our metals to a true Bronze-master: Armando is an Italian who used to work for Salvador Dali way back when...Craft any-one? He moved his foundry from Monza, Italy to Thailand now 30 years ago. His major client is the Vatican. We are truly blessed. He is currently training our team so his vast experience will live on. Please note that the sand-casting process is also completely done by hand, step-by-step, for each base: a traditional and time consuming technique which, as the woodwork we offer, can never be 'Perfect': our bases show traces of this technique: some air-bubbles remain in the metal, some weld-marks will be visible as will some tooling traces: brushed lines, some surfaces will be a bit more matte than others... Here too you will feel Real People's hands.
