About the Item
An elegant Italian Mid-Century Modern large bamboo and smoked glass console or sofa table by Giovanni Banci circa 1970.
The original smoked glass top accompanies the piece, bronzed corners and connections with aged apperance. The natural bamboo has pitting and age marks. The piece has soul!
Giovanni Banci was a Florentine sculptor and furniture designer. His furniture designs were extensive in the 1960 through 1980 periods and Hermes was an important client. He also had many important sculpture commissions in Florence.

- Condition:Minor fading. The bronzed corner and feet have dings and a few scratches from use. these are also aged in appearance, but this does not detract from the piece. The bamboo has marks and uneven colouration. This also does not detract from the piece.
