English Rococo Style 1880s Carved and Bleached Oak Console Table with Deer Heads
About the Item
An English Rococo style carved and bleached oak console table with deer heads and hoofed legs from the late 19th century. This English console table features a nicely shaped planked top with beveled edges, sitting above an exquisite Rococo style base, adorned with skillfully carved deer heads, raised on cabriole legs with striking hoofed feet. The four canted deer heads that are supporting the tabletop are flanking a fifth head, surrounded by foliage motifs. The four beautifully scrolled legs are connected to one another through an eye-catching cross stretcher, accented by a carved finial with a bird in a shell motif. The result is a masterpiece, beautifully combining a bleached finish, a Rococo silhouette and a richly carved decor. Placed anywhere in a home, from a foyer to a living room, this English Rococo style bleached oak console table circa 1880 will be a definite show-stopper.
