"Il Pezzo 6 Console" table in solid walnut and wenge top - polished brass base
About the Item
A solid block of walnut held up by what seems to be a casually arranged group of glittering legs. A composite of contrasting elements, massive and sophisticated, strong and passionate; Il Pezzo 6 Console is a harmonious and timeless whole.
The tabletop is made of 7 cm thick solid walnut and it’s gently crossed by a vein which reminds a majestic river, made of solid ash or wenge stained solid wood. The choice of the wood grain alignment is done with great care to create flowing veins and colors.
The treatment on the wood is done with natural oil that protects the wood but at the same time allows it breathe, leaving the extraordinary feel of this beautiful, natural material unchanged to the touch. Furthermore the final coat on the top is done with Nanotechnology, an organic silica- based natural treatment which makes the wood water repellent. The legs are mad of hand- welded brass, available in different finishes.
Each console shows the “Missing Piece” (“Pezzo Mancante” in Italian): a small brass cylinder containing a unique serial number, guarantees its authenticity and individuality.
Custom sizes and finishes are also available to suit every preference.

Il Pezzo Mancante ("The Missing Piece" in English) was born in 2010, created by Cosimo Terzani and Barbara Bertocci.
