Italian 18th Century Louis XIV Period Mecca Free Standing Console

About the Item

A stunning Italian 18th century Louis XV period mecca and Sienna marble console. The freestanding console is raised by elegant cabriole legs with fine scrolled feet and a lovely mottled fillet that leads up to richly carved foliate corner designs. The arbalest shaped frieze is centered by a most decorative and finely detailed seashell reserve centered by beautiful foliate designs and charming flowers. The sides are decorated in the same manner. Above is the original rectangular Sienna marble top with a fine mottled border. All original mecca throughout.
